Rotary Club Meets with the Project Leader of Youthcare

Rotary Club Bonaire is always involved in projects that support the youth and welfare for the children of Bonaire.

The members of the Rotary Club are mostly business owners who all understand that the children ARE our future and hope that each and every child here on Bonaire grows up to become an active member of the Bonaire community, so their children can also grow up safe and sound.

On February 3, Mrs. Ellen Cornelissen gave a presentation to the RCB members. Mrs. Cornelissen is the project leader for Youthcare, and she is in charge of inventory and the set up of this project. Mrs. Cornelissen explained that Youthcare is an additional service to the foundations which exist on Bonaire and which focuses on the support of families and youth, especially those with more severe problems who need help. Schools, Child Services, Youth Care, and reclassering, but also foundations as Jong Bonaire and other youth foundations will come together to form a solid network to help children and their parents with coping on a daily basis and helping them to take good care of their children’s well being.
